On “The Mark Levin Show” on Friday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) said there is an “extraordinary double standard” in Democrats going from publicly discrediting and attacking Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito over the flag flying in his home to demanding that he unquestionably agree with the ruling in the case of former 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, presided over by Judge Juan Marchand, who donated to Biden in 2020.
After host Mark Levin responded to President Joe Biden’s criticism of Republican criticism of the New York ruling, summarizing the various attacks on the Supreme Court by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Biden himself, Johnson said:[I]This is a ridiculous double standard, and they don’t even seem to realize how ridiculous it is. The left is furious at Justice Alito, and for that matter, they [insisted] “He claims he must recuse himself from future court cases because his wife waved the flag at their home. But the Manhattan judge is an open donor to Biden and clearly a supporter of the defendant’s opponent in his courtroom. … This whole case reeks of corruption.”
