Fox News senior strategic analyst Gen. Jack Keene (retired) appeared on “America’s Newsroom” on Monday to talk about Iran’s failed missile and drone attack on Israel over the weekend, and about Israel and the U.S. spoke of a “huge opportunity” to take advantage of that “humiliation”. Keene said Iranian proxies such as Hezbollah and the Houthi rebels were likely “stunned” by Iran’s inability to effectively attack Israel.
Biden calls for G7 meeting to counter Iran’s ‘brazen’ attack
Jack Keene: Well, they [Hezbollah] You have to be frankly stunned because they’ve been pushing Iran to get more involved in what they’re doing. They had hoped for more direct support from Iran, which they eventually got. But what happened, as you mentioned earlier, was historic because Iran had never invaded Israel before or fired on Israel as a result. However, in reality, it was a crushing defeat and humiliation for Iran. Their national leaders were certainly humiliated, and so were the Revolutionary Guards. And I think the proxies are completely stunned by the outcome that Iran was unable to accomplish anything other than proving its willingness to attack Israel. And yes, I think there is a huge opportunity here for Israel and the United States to take advantage of this going forward.
