James Madison quarterback has early candidate for flop of the year; teammate pretends to give CPR

Things got a little rough at times at James Madison vs. Charlotte on Saturday, but one player may have taken it too far.

Barnett apparently went to the ground, but then appeared to take a wrestling move too far.

After falling to the floor, Barnett rolled backwards to accentuate the fall, he got up, only to fall backwards again and roll again.

But it wasn't over yet: Barnett lay on the floor while his teammate, offensive lineman Joseph Simmons, pretended to administer CPR to the quarterback.

Additional pitches had little effect, and Burnett and Butler were fouled for unsportsmanlike conduct, so the penalties were offset and the play was not made.

But Coach Burnett had the last laugh, as his Dukes defeated the 49ers 30-7.

Barnett completed 10 of 18 passes for 219 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, and also rushed nine times for 89 yards. He was sacked once in the second quarter for a loss of 11 yards and suffered a quarterback kneel.
