Jason Kelce is enjoying some great play at the American Century Championship.
The crowd at the Edgewood Tahoe golf course in Nevada was cheering on the former Eagles center as he played his round on Friday, but one fan in particular caught Kelce’s attention.
A man holding a young baby had Kelce walk the ropes mid-round, search for a pen briefly and then have the seven-time Pro Bowl player sign the back of the baby’s shirt.
A nearby observer joked about how Kelce was playing compared to his older brother, Travis, and asked the older brother if he was up to the Chiefs tight end.
“No, I’m not thinking about hitting him at all,” he replied. “I’m hitting myself.”
Jason’s interaction with fans on Friday came the same day that Travis had a separate confrontation with a crowd member.
According to People magazine, Travis accidentally fired two shots at the crowd, one hitting a bystander in the arm and the second hitting someone in the head, causing blood to flow.
The two joked about possibly punching an audience member during last week’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast.
“This is my first time at Lake Tahoe. Any advice?” Jason asked Travis.
“My advice is, if you run somebody over, don’t feel bad if they get a ticket,” Travis joked, to which his brother quickly replied, “I don’t feel bad if I run somebody over.”
“It’s a bunch of amateurs trying to play golf so don’t feel bad,” Travis continued. “People have been hit before. Paramedics have been called and they are on every hole very quickly. Everybody is OK.”
