Karine Jean-Pierre Discusses Biden’s Presidency and Critiques Democrats

In a recent interview with CNN, former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refrained from directly answering whether Joe Biden should continue as president. Instead, she focused on her reasons for not reading a best-selling book that delves into claims about Biden’s resignation controversy.

When asked if she believes Biden is capable of serving as president until 2029, Jean-Pierre noted, “When he decided to run for president, I didn’t see anything that would concern me. This is someone I met every day. He was sharp and genuinely cared about the issues facing the American public. I’m speaking from my personal opinion based on my experiences.”

She is currently promoting her new book, “Independent,” which criticizes the Democratic Party’s treatment of Biden when he exited the race. In her book, she shares her experiences of feeling mistreated by the party during that period.

Moreover, Jake Tapper, a colleague of the interviewer, co-authored a book titled “Original Sin,” which reveals numerous accounts of Biden’s declining mental state and how aides allegedly concealed it. In response to a query about the book, Jean-Pierre said, “I can’t talk about a book I haven’t read.” Keillor expressed disbelief, questioning why she wouldn’t read a book filled with substantial claims and sources.

Throughout the discussion, Jean-Pierre emphasized her lack of worries about Biden’s mental competency, reiterating that he withdrew from the race last year, allowing Kamala Harris to step in. She also criticized Democrats for not doing enough concerning Harris’s role.

In the interview, she stated that discussions about Biden’s health were carefully managed at senior levels and shifted her focus to critique the Trump administration, calling attention to the current “unprecedented situation.” She remarked, “These are dangerous times, and like millions of other Americans, I am calling on Democrats to rise to the occasion. We’re trying to create a conversation.”

Keillor responded by emphasizing the importance of understanding how the current situation came to be. “It’s certainly essential,” he concluded.
