Jets go to school for ‘tackling presentation’ on James Conner

Head coach Jeff Ulbrich said the Jets put on a “tackle presentation” dedicated to James Conner, the Cardinals' physical back who had the sixth-most yards in the NFL this season.

“That will never happen, but Conner's presence adds another wrinkle to the containment of an Arizona offense that already features a mobile quarterback, Kyler Murray. Murray ranks third among quarterbacks this season. (350 yards),” Ulbrich added.

Javon Kinlaw, who spent the first four years of his career with the 49ers and has played against Conner before, told the Post that he is “strong-armed and great,” adding, “I always beat him on the first tackle. That's not the case,” he said.

“If you don't stop him, you can't stop the Cardinals,” Ulbrich said.

The Jets' last injury report of the week has OL Jake Hanson (hamstring) and LB CJ Mosley (neck) out Sunday.

CB Michael Carter II (back), TE Tyler Conklin (ankle), RT Morgan Moses (knee), LB Chaz Surratt (heel), DL Solomon Thomas (knee), RG Aliyah Vera Tucker (ankle) All players were listed as questionable.

Ulbrich said Conklin's injury occurred during Thursday's practice, but did not prevent him from playing the full game the next day.

On Friday, LG John Simpson (groin), LT Tyron Smith (rest), S Tony Adams (hamstring), S Ashtyn Davis (concussion), and QB Aaron Rodgers (knee, hamstring) were at full capacity. He participated in the game and was not listed as injured.

The Jets signed defensive lineman Bruce Hector to the active roster after he was promoted to the practice squad and had four tackles during their Week 3 win over the Patriots.
