Joe Rogan criticizes former JPMorgan banker Chirayu Rana for 'false' sexual harassment accusations against Lorna Hajdini: 'most driven guy ever'

Joe Rogan, the podcast host, recently called a sexual harassment lawsuit against a JPMorgan Chase executive “fake,” jokingly suggesting it sounded like the work of “the horniest man in history.”

In a segment from his show, Rogan reacted to a report identifying Chirayu Rana as the anonymous “John Doe” who accused executive director Lorna Hadjidini of sexual assault.

“The woman… it turned out to be a scam. It was fake. The woman who made a man lie to her at JPMorgan. It wasn’t real,” Rogan remarked, referencing the article. “He just claimed she said all these things.”

Comedian Shane Gillis also chimed in, agreeing that Rana’s lawsuit seemed fabricated.

“Did the Indian guy make the claim?” Gillis asked, to which Rogan confirmed, “Yeah, she was sexy.” Gillis added, “It looks like it was written by a naughty Indian guy.”

During the lengthy podcast, they covered several aspects of the lawsuit, initially reported by the Daily Mail.

Rogan pointed out that had a man made similar allegations against a woman, “he would have been fired. He would have been shamed.” Gillis suggested that anyone knowingly filing a false lawsuit deserved prison time.

This discussion followed a peculiar complaint to the New York Supreme Court. It accused Hadjidini of treating Rana like a “sex slave.”

The lawsuit, filed under the name John Doe, alleges Hadjidini drugged Rana and coerced him into sexual acts, even using racial slurs. It named JPMorgan as a defendant, alleging the bank turned a blind eye to the supposed fraud. The claims have been firmly denied by the bank’s executives, including Jamie Dimon.

Sources informed that an internal investigation at JPMorgan, which included reviewing emails and records, found no evidence of misconduct. Hadjidini fully cooperated, while Rana did not, according to the bank’s statement.

Colleagues described Hadjidini as professional and kind, noting that she and Rana reported to different managing directors, implying she had no influence over his salary.

Daniel J. Kaiser, the attorney for John Doe, provided further commentary on the matter.

“A motion was filed today for an order allowing my client to proceed with John Doe proceedings. Those documents come with evidence supporting his claims,” the attorney stated.

Kaiser mentioned that Rana reported to several managers during transactions, including Hadjidini, adding, “Write whatever you like and be embarrassed about it.”

However, Rana’s original filing was swiftly removed from the court records and labeled “returned for correction.” Kaiser said he had asked the court clerk to fix this procedural mistake.

Jason Goldman, a prominent lawyer, commented, “Ms. Hadjidini’s life has been ruined. We believe she will immediately file a defamation lawsuit to the fullest extent of the law.”

The report revealed that Rana, 35, had left his job at boutique investment firm Bregal Sagemount three weeks ago.

Sources familiar with the situation suggested that Rana experienced a troubled six-month stint at an affiliate of Mark Rowan’s Apollo Global Management in Los Angeles.

According to his FINRA profile, Rana joined MidCap Financial in June 2023, but the company reportedly faced “insolvency” issues three months later and received warnings about “serious performance issues.” A company representative declined to comment.

Attempts to reach Rana for comments were unsuccessful. Meanwhile, representatives for Hadjidini and JPMorgan did not provide any further remarks beyond the bank’s earlier denials.
