A Michigan father of four was trying to finish his workday and get home when a young content creator staged a prank, pretending to take $10 from him while filming his reaction. The video later spread on Instagram.
The man, visibly upset, went to report the incident to a manager. The creator continued recording and told him it was only a joke. The father said he had been expected home an hour earlier, had children waiting for him, and still faced another early start and a long day of work.
He also said he was struggling to pay his mortgage and accused the creator of making money from the video. The young man offered a brief response, but the father made clear he did not believe the apology was sincere.
BlazeTV host John Doyle said the man appeared to understand that he was being filmed and might become the target of online ridicule. Doyle suggested that the prank added to the pressures the father was already facing, and that because he was in uniform, the video could potentially affect his job.
Doyle also noted that the man initially responded helpfully when asked the time. In his view, the prank took advantage of that willingness to engage with a stranger. He criticized the creator for using another person’s trust and distress to generate attention and income.
Doyle went on to make broad, disparaging claims about people from developing countries, arguing that some exploit loopholes rather than contribute productively. Those remarks were his own commentary, not part of the prank video itself.
