Kyle MacLachlan addressed David Lynch's death.
The 65-year-old actor paid tribute to the legendary director on Thursday, just hours after his family announced that Lynch had died at the age of 78. His cause of death has not been disclosed.
McLachlan and Lynch worked together for decades, with McLachlan working on Blue Velvet (1984) and the early '90s series Twin Peaks, which spawned the movie prequel Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. He has appeared in the director's hit films such as “Peaks''. ” (1992) and Showtime’s “Twin Peaks: The Return” (2017).

“Forty-two years ago, for reasons beyond my comprehension, David Lynch plucked me out of obscurity and cast me in his first and last big-budget film. He clearly saw something in me. I owe my entire career, and my entire life, to his vision,” the actor wrote.
McLachlan described Lynch as “an enigmatic, intuitive man with an ocean of creativity bubbling inside him” and said: “He was in touch with something we all want to reach.”
Recalling how their friendship blossomed on Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks, the actor said he always thought Lynch was “the most authentic person I've ever met.” He said he was

McLachlan continued to speak of his heartache as he mourned Lynch's death.
“His love for me and my love for him were born out of a cosmic destiny of two people who found the best in each other,” he wrote. “I will miss him more than the limits of my words or my heart can bear. My world was fuller because I knew him, and it is even more so now that he is gone. I felt empty.”
He concluded with a greeting to the late coach.
