Joe Germanotta, Lady Gaga's father and a prominent New York restaurateur, has publicly supported former President Donald Trump and said he supported his policies on the economy, borders and policing.
in exterior On Fox & Friends Joe Germanotta also slammed Kamala Harris on Thursday, saying she “will say anything to get elected” and accusing her of an “invasion” of illegal immigrants on her watch.
Germanotta is the owner of Joan Trattoria, a restaurant on New York's Upper West Side near Lincoln Center, and has repeatedly said that a spike in immigrant crime in his neighborhood since the Biden-Harris administration took office has hurt his business, with regular customers no longer coming to the restaurant as often as they used to.
On Thursday, he voiced his support for Trump.
“I support Donald Trump. I support his policies,” he said. Fox & Friends.
“They're two very different people. One is pure and a patriot. The other just says whatever it takes to get elected. That's basically what I'm hearing. I'm tired of hearing about her neighbor's lawn,” he said.
“The way I see it, this is an invasion,” he added, referring to policies under the Biden-Harris administration that have allowed an estimated 20 million illegal immigrants into the country.
“There is no longer a secure border. There is no longer legal immigration. My clients, my customers, people who used to come once a week, now come once every three weeks. They are not coming to New York City.”
He continued, “The real platform is, I'm not voting for the person. I mean, Donald, he's aggressive. But he's a patriot and his policies are there. Either way, they're spot on for me. I want lower fuel and food prices, lower interest rates, support the police, a good economy, support the police, law and order, and keeping jobs in the United States of America.”
Despite endorsing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris four years ago and singing the national anthem at their inauguration, Lady Gaga has not endorsed them in this election.
