On Thursday, a large group of migrants appeared to attempt to illegally enter the United States by climbing over Texas National Guard and razor wire barriers near El Paso. The migrants appear to have attacked several security guards before being stopped by a permanent border barrier.

Tarr described the situation as a riot when a group of migrants began punching the locked border wall. Members of the El Paso Area Border Patrol can also be seen standing by as guards guard the gate.

Two hours earlier, Tarr reported peaceful scenes of a small group of 600 migrants being pushed back into Mexico by security guards standing next to a barbed-wire border fence.
