Swalwell’s Connection to Hunter Biden Resurfaces Amid Allegations

Current and former Representative Eric Swalwell, a Democrat from California, finds himself under scrutiny due to ongoing sexual assault allegations and past controversies. Recently, his admiration for Hunter Biden and contributions from wealthy Hollywood lawyers to Swalwell’s unsuccessful gubernatorial campaign have come back into focus.

“Eric Swalwell is essentially Hunter Biden’s biggest supporter, from protecting the Senate swamp to defending the Biden family’s extensive legal troubles,” commented a seasoned Republican strategist. “They’re like a swarm of feathered degenerates.”

During Swalwell’s governor campaign, it was disclosed that Kevin Morris—one of Hunter Biden’s backers who has financed his lifestyle—donated $29,900 to Swalwell’s campaign earlier this year. Interestingly, Morris helped organize a surprise press conference for Hunter in December 2023, coinciding with Hunter’s refusal to comply with a House Oversight Committee subpoena.

Swalwell’s backing of Hunter’s press event raised questions about his involvement in his son’s decision to defy the subpoena regarding potential criminal charges.

Fifth Whistleblower Steps Forward Against Swalwell

Swalwell had previously stated, “There is absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing by Hunter or his father. I won’t allow MAGA Republicans to do Trump’s bidding in Congress.” Morris had also previously maxed out his donations, with over $6,000 contributed to Swalwell’s House campaign. At a highly publicized December 2023 press conference, Morris stood prominently alongside Swalwell, marking a pivotal moment given that Hunter had just opted to reject a congressional subpoena.

Morris, who first met Hunter Biden in 2019, reportedly offered substantial financial support during tumultuous times for Hunter, contributing over $6.5 million. This seemingly raised eyebrows about Morris’s capacity to continue covering Hunter’s legal expenses if the case went to trial, which, ultimately, it did not.

A source close to Morris noted that he supported Hunter because he felt few others would step up during that time. Notably, he also helped Hunter buy a luxury home and funded numerous artwork pieces by Hunter, as well as settling Hunter’s tax debts.

Pelosi Moves Away from Swalwell Amid Allegations

The connections don’t stop there—Morris and Swalwell have faced scrutiny over ties to China. In 2024, Morris admitted to still holding stakes in a China-based private equity firm inherited from Hunter. His stake in this was initially acquired after Hunter purchased Skaneateles LLC in 2021, as pressure mounted for Hunter to sell.

Swalwell has long been criticized for his alleged ties to China, particularly after claims surfaced about him being a target of espionage operations early in his career. This controversy led to his removal from the influential House Intelligence Committee when the situation became public.

In light of recent sexual misconduct reports, Swalwell is seeing significant backlash from at least one of his financial supporters, Stephen Klubeck, founder of Diamond Resorts. Klubeck, who has given Swalwell a total of $23,400 since 2017, voiced his discontent: “Who is Eric? If you betray my trust, you don’t exist in my life.”

Klubeck has mentioned that the situation caused him to lose faith in the Democratic Party altogether.

In addition to campaign contributions, Klubeck had reportedly extended lavish gifts, including a $39,900 plane ticket to France, to Democratic congressmen.

In response to the allegations, Swalwell’s attorney stated that the accusations are “false, fabricated, and deeply offensive, aiming to tarnish the reputation of a public servant with two decades of service.”
