LeBron James Takes His Time on Free Agency Decision
As free agency approaches and the 24th NBA season looms, all eyes are on LeBron James to see which team he will choose. However, he doesn’t seem to be rushing into a decision. Recently, he was spotted enjoying a golf outing with friends, including Draymond Green from the Golden State Warriors and comedian Kevin Hart.
The trio had a fun day on the course, which might raise some eyebrows since just days earlier, Green and James were together in Puerto Rico. There were whispers that Green might have tried to persuade James to consider joining the Warriors. Reports from July 13 hinted that James was “considering the idea more strongly” than in the past, but who knows how much of that was just chatter?
Despite the buzz around recruitment, their golf outing felt more light-hearted than anything else. Steve Stout, who shared moments from the day on social media, captured some of the playful banter among the guys.
At one point, Stout posted a clip showing James and Hart in a golf cart, where James teased about Hart’s performance, saying it was too soon to call it a bad day for him. There was a friendly competition going on, too; James gleefully proclaimed, “I’m up 3-0. I’m cooking you. Do you know how many teams come back from 3-0? Nobody!”
In another light-hearted moment, when Hart jokingly questioned James about being back after the 3-0 statement, James fired back, “Three-on-one, buddy!” referencing the historic comeback by the Cavaliers against the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals. It’s refreshing to see James enjoying himself during this decision-making period.
