Le’Veon Bell ordered to pay $25 million to cousin who claimed he sexually assaulted her

Le'veon Bell's cousin was awarded $25 million after the former NFL star allegedly sexually assaulted her for about a decade since she was a child.

In a March 2024 lawsuit filed in Franklin County, Ohio, the cousin alleged that Bell began having an incest relationship without consent at around the age of six, and continued until he was 18 in 2017.

TMZ reported that the woman had been awarded millions in the ruling two weeks ago, citing court documents.

“My client has firmly denied all allegations filed against him. Moreover, he was never entrusted with civil complaints or documents,” Bell's lawyer, Thomas W. Schaffer, said in a statement to TMZ.

“The default judgment granted was based on a violation of the Fifth Amendment of the legitimate process because it was not provided. My client has filed a motion to open and reverse the default judgment, as the merits of the suit have never been litigated.”

Bell went to Twitch, a streaming platform, to keep his innocence even further.
