With 18 days left until Nov. 5, Louisiana, Hawaii and Washington states will each begin their 2024 elections on Friday, when residents in those states will be able to begin early voting.

Absentee voting has begun in Louisiana. Residents do not need to provide an excuse to receive their ballot. State officials must receive requests for ballots by Nov. 1, and the ballots must be delivered to the parish registrar by Nov. 4.
