A majority of U.S. voters have “questions” about President Joe Biden’s mental health ahead of November’s presidential election, according to a Harvard-Harris poll. found.
Of the 2,111 registered voters surveyed from March 20 to 21, 2024, when asked whether they thought Mr. I answered. In contrast, 43% believe he is mentally healthy.
By party, 27% of Democrats, 85% of Republicans, and 61% of independents and other supporters said they had doubts about Biden’s mental state. Only 15% of Republicans and 39% of independents say Biden is mentally healthy, as do 73% of Democrats.

Respondents were also asked:Do you think Joe Biden is showing he’s too old to be president, or do you think he’s showing he’s fit to be president?”
63% said Mr. Biden “shows he is too old,” and 37% said he “shows that he is fit to be president.”
Thirty-seven percent of Democrats say Biden is too old, along with 89% of Republicans and 66% of independents. A majority of Democrats (63%) say Biden is qualified for the job, but only 11% of Republicans and 34% of independents say the same.

Respondents were then asked:Do President Biden’s public appearances lend credence to concerns about his age and memory, or are his public appearances okay?”
63% of US voters say his appearance “gives credence to concerns” and 37% say his “public appearances are perfectly fine.”
Eighty-three percent of Republicans and 61% of independents say they are concerned about Biden’s behavior in public, as do 45% of Democrats.
A majority of Democrats (55%), 39% of independents and 17% of Republicans say they are “completely fine” with Biden’s public appearances.

A majority of U.S. voters (61%) also say Biden’s “public gaffes” are “more frequent,” but 39% say they are “less frequent.” ”
Forty-five percent of Democrats also agree that Biden’s public gaffes have become more frequent, as do 77% of Republican voters and 61% of independents. Fifty-five percent of Democrats, 23% of Republicans, and 39% of independents said they do so infrequently.
Respondents were also asked:Is it potentially dangerous for the country to elect a president who raises questions about age, declining memory, poor concentration, etc., or are such concerns politically exaggerated? ”
60% said such a president would be “dangerous” to the United States, and 40% said “fears are politically exaggerated.”
More than a third (36%) of voters in Biden’s own party say such a president would be “dangerous,” as do 84% of Republicans and 60% of independents. 64% of Democrats say their fears are exaggerated, as do 40% of independents and 16% of Republican voters.
