Makena White, who was in a relationship with PGA Tour golfer Jake Knapp, has sadly passed away at the age of 28, leaving the golf community in shock on Friday.
Her last social media activity was on August 11, where she shared a post celebrating Knapp’s second season.
In her Instagram caption, she wrote about the joy of being part of his journey: “Look at your second year at First Fairway Hugs and see your dream. I’m forever grateful to have walked this path with you.” The heartfelt message continued, “I’ll looooove you, sweet boy—you’re going to be so proud of it all.”
The news of her passing was shared on Instagram by a friend, who expressed deep sorrow. The post highlighted her unique ability to make others feel cherished: “Makena had this unusual way of making you feel special, and her huge heart was always full of love.
