John Handley is the singer’s father. american idol Alum Mandisa said an investigation into her daughter’s death was ongoing, but there were “no signs” of self-harm.
“I strongly believe that the detective knows what he believes and what he doesn’t believe.” [harm herself]Handley” Said Fox News. “They talked about the scars and all kinds of bruises that might have been on her body. They looked for signs that she might have harmed herself, but they didn’t know that she had harmed herself. There were no signs of it.”
As reported by Breitbart News, Grammy Award-winning artist Mandisa Lynn Hundley, known as Mandisa, was found dead in her Tennessee home on April 18 at the age of 47. The cause of her singer’s death remains unknown.
Meanwhile, Max Wintz, director of public affairs for the Franklin Police Department, told Fox News that the investigation into Mandisa’s death is still ongoing.
Friends and family reportedly gathered at Brentwood Baptist Church in Nashville over the weekend to celebrate Mandisa’s life.
“This is what I think,” Hundley said at the ceremony. “Mandisa collapsed in her bedroom. They found her lying on the floor. Looking from the back of her bed, she was lying on her left side. It was obvious that there were several large rugs and some clothes.
“There was a nightstand on the right side of the bed, right in front of it. I found her phone on the right side of the bed. There is no way for Ms. Mandisa to avoid the bed and get out and call for help. “It was,” he added.
Hundley continued:
She didn’t hurt herself. As she said, Mandisa loved her Lord and her Lord also loved Mandisa. So here’s one thing you may not know. She told me a while back that she had contracted COVID-19 and was feeling weak trying to get through it. But she was trying to push through. Easter morning we talked a lot, she hadn’t called lately because I thought she was going to this meeting, but she talked a lot. May she rest in peace now.
Mandisa’s father told Fox News that while his comments received mixed reactions, he doesn’t think he’s saying anything his daughter wouldn’t want her to say.
“Some people criticize the way I talk,” Hundley said. “They said I should be sadder. I was. I think the first few nights were tough. I couldn’t sleep. Last night was the first night I got six or five hours of sleep. I was sad for a long time.”
“I believe she’s happy and I’m trying to be happy just like she’s happy,” he added. “I’ve been forcing myself to be happy and not cry. I said the wrong thing during the homecoming service.”
“I said, ‘I know men aren’t supposed to cry,’ and I know that’s a belief of some people,” Hundley said. “I don’t know if men shouldn’t cry because I cry all the time.”
