‘Psychic Cat’ Billy predicts World Cup winner
Billy, a one-year-old tuxedo cat from Northern Ireland, has gained attention online for his impressive track record of predicting World Cup outcomes. His owner, Linka Lin, shares that Billy’s notable body language and clever instincts make these predictions a fun pastime for them.
In an unrelated incident, a man in Maryland was arrested for allegedly stealing a three-month-old kitten from a pet store. After taking the kitten to a nearby bank, he asked an employee to hold it while he handed a note to a teller demanding cash, as reported by the police. The kitten, named Magnolia, was found uninjured after the suspect’s arrest.
Beltsville Community Cats announced on Facebook, humorously noting that Magnolia’s brief foray into crime was over.

A three-month-old tuxedo kitten, described as a “true purring machine,” is currently seeking a permanent home after her unexpected role in an attempted bank robbery. Security footage captured a man wearing a light-colored T-shirt and a black beanie, rushing out of Pet Supply Plus with Magnolia in tow.
Witnesses reported that the man dashed straight to a PNC Bank in the same shopping center. Stephanie Starich from Beltsville Community Cats Rescue recounted receiving an urgent call from a pet store employee alerting her that Magnolia had been taken from the adoption area.

“When I first saw all the police cars, I thought it was a bizarre reaction to a stolen cat,” said a witness. “Then I realized they were all headed to the bank.” According to a police officer, the suspect entered the bank with Magnolia and asked an employee if he could have the kitten, before demanding cash from the teller.
Police confirmed that they apprehended the man at the bank. Magnolia is still up for adoption through Beltsville Community Cats, and she’s described as affectionate and playful, enjoying cuddles, adventures, and being around other cats.
“She’s looking for loving homes with responsible owners,” Starich commented.
