Mayor Eric Adams Says NYC ‘Out of Room, Literally’ While Giving Migrants Free Hotel Rooms

Mayor Eric Adams (D) said New York City is “literally running out of room” with more than 160,000 border crossers and undocumented immigrants arriving since spring 2022. But at the same time, the Adams administration continues to provide free hotels. Room to new arrivals.

in interview Adams, along with FOX5 NY's Rosanna Scott, once again warned that if illegal immigration continues to increase under President Joe Biden, border crossers and illegal aliens will soon be sleeping on the streets.

“We're not just saying there's no room as a soundbite. There's literally no room,” Adams said. “People will end up sleeping on the streets.”

Adams also argued that there is nothing that can be done to undo New York City's sanctuary policy, which protects illegal aliens from being turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

“We can't legally tell people who come into the city, 'You can't come into the city,'” Adams said. “We can't even turn them over to ICE…The law says we can't notify ICE. I can't break the law or enforce the law.”

Scott told Adams that with the city at breaking point, why is the government offering free hotel rooms, meals, city-run shelters, free cell phones and other services to border crossers and undocumented immigrants? Why should we continue to pour billions of dollars into people's lives?

For example, the iconic Roosevelt Hotel in midtown Manhattan was transformed into a migrant camp, with more than 70,000 people passing through a luxurious lobby before being moved to other hotels and shelters.

Adams said New York City is “flooded” and as a result, the city’s services for border crossers and undocumented immigrants have been cut short by “food, shelter, clothing, [and] that's it. “

A few days ago, Adams said New Yorkers could soon expect a significantly lower quality of life due to budget cuts being imposed to pay border crossers and illegal aliens. .

The Biden administration is releasing approximately 5,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the interior of the United States each day, many of whom end up in New York City, where they work and are protected by the city's sanctuary policy. As a result, some people can enjoy free housing. The time is paid for by local taxpayers.
