A leftist activist accelerated in a large SUV towards federal law enforcement officers and has been referred to as a “venerable martyr” on CNN, which some see as a far-left platform that promotes conspiracy theories and incites political violence.
“A mother of three who enjoyed singing and writing poetry was shot and killed by ICE in Minneapolis.” This is how CNN framed the story, portraying her as an “amazing human being” in a lengthy article full of tributes.
What we’re witnessing here is a glorification that sidesteps the uncomfortable truths about someone who deliberately interfered with law enforcement and was shot after attempting to run over an ICE agent while trying to avoid arrest, as indicated by various videos, including one from CNN itself.
CNN shared that she had a “really sweet family” and that her son “occasionally asked to be petted” by the neighbor’s dog. One neighbor recalled seeing her children’s drawings on the sidewalk, saying, “She was a very welcome part of the community.” Another neighbor expressed similar sentiments.
Interestingly, did you know Goode’s home is located less than a mile from where George Floyd was killed in 2020?
“Young writers often write about themselves,” noted Good’s former professor. “But Good also wrote about other people, including the elderly.”
Despite this, CNN omitted details from its own footage that showed ICE agents did not position themselves in front of Good’s vehicle. Instead, it was after she reversed the SUV that an ICE agent stepped into its path, and she deliberately accelerated towards him.
So what’s CNN’s angle here? Why celebrate a woman who appears culpable of attempting to harm an ICE agent during an arrest attempt?
This is what radical activists do. It sends a clear message that those willing to risk everything—including their own lives—will be hailed as heroes, even if it means using a troubled figure like a neurotic left-wing woman as a martyr.
People searching for meaning in their lives, beyond their responsibilities, are often the most vulnerable when it comes to being recruited for dangerous causes.
The organized left – which includes academia, corporate media, Hollywood, and the Democratic Party – is exploiting such individuals. You really can’t agitate or train people to attack ICE agents or disrupt law enforcement without courting tragedy.
Martin Luther King Jr. advocated for nonviolent resistance aimed at filling prisons, while CNN and its leftist allies seem to be promoting violence, potentially pushing as many “mothers of three” as possible towards tragic ends.
