Seniors enrolled in Medicare Part B will have to pay more for their medical expenses next year.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has released Medicare Part B premiums with annual deductible increases scheduled for 2025. Monthly premiums for Medicare Part B, the portion that covers routine exams, home health care, doctor visits, and outpatient services, will increase from $10.30 to $185. .
According to AARP, Part B beneficiaries with individual annual incomes above $106,000 will pay premiums above the standard premium based on their income. The group says income-related monthly adjustments affect about 8% of Part B policyholders.

The annual deductible for Medicare Part B beneficiaries will be $240 to $257. After meeting the deductible, beneficiaries typically pay 20% of the cost of each service or item covered by Medicare.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services says, “The 2025 Part B standard premium and deductible increases are primarily due to expected price changes and expected increased utilization consistent with historical experience.” said.
Medicare Part A prices are also rising. Approximately 99% of beneficiaries do not pay a monthly premium for Part A, but there is a deductible for those who are hospitalized. The deductible will increase by $44 to $1,676.

Medicare is available to people age 65 and older or older and who meet certain qualifications will receive early access. Medicare is made up of four parts. Part A covers hospital insurance, Part B covers Medicare insurance, Part C covers Medicare Advantage plans, and Part D covers drug coverage.
