Michelle Obama went ‘undercover’ to sign her new book and shared footage of her hilarious ‘secret operation’.

The former first lady, who is the wife of Barack Obama, the 44th president of the United States from 2008 to 2016, visited a Target store in St. Louis, Missouri to promote “The Light We Carry.”

In the “Secret Mission” video shared to Instagram, President Obama enters a store wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses and signs copies of his new album.

“We have a mission. It’s a top secret mission. I had a crazy idea and heard that my paperback was coming out and was on ‘Target,'” she says in the clip. I spoke inside.

“Okay, so we’re going to go undercover because you’ve never actually seen my book in a Target store. So we’re going to do this sparingly.”

After signing six copies of her book, a sequel to her best-selling memoir Becoming, the 60-year-old grabbed her basket and circled the affordable store.

“I bought something for me, something for my husband, and something for[my dog]Sunny,” she joked, adding, “Girls, you can buy your own stuff.” .

Over the past 12 months, amid speculation from both the Democratic and Republican camps, Mr. Obama’s press secretary has repeatedly denied that he will run for president this year.

In a 2022 interview with the BBC, Mr Obama said he “hated” questions about his candidacy.
