The Upcoming “Madison” Spinoff from “Yellowstone”
Fans of “Yellowstone” are in for a treat as one of Taylor Sheridan’s new spinoffs, “The Madison,” is on the horizon.
Paramount+ unveiled the first teaser for the series, featuring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell as Stacey and Preston Clyburn. It offers glimpse into a narrative described as “a deep love story told through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation.” The story follows the Clyburn family relocating from New York City to Montana’s Madison River Valley.
In the trailer, Pfeiffer, aged 67, expresses a poignant sentiment, stating, “My center, my soul, is gone.” Russell’s character responds with, “If you just surrender, you’ll get better,” as he portrays a therapist named Phil Yorn.
The brief teaser showcases moments like a kiss between Preston and Stacey, alongside scenes of them fishing in the Madison River with Paul Clyburn, played by Matthew Fox.
Russell, aged 74, reflects, “What do I have? Before I get too old to do more than just remember.”
The trailer concludes with Stacey on the porch, conversing with Abigail Reese, the character played by Beau Garrett. Pfeiffer’s character emphasizes, “I decided to feed this,” while gesturing toward her heart and head, “and never factor this into the equation.”
The teaser was released shortly after Paramount+ shared some first-look images. One still features Pfeiffer’s character reading on a porch, while another captures her with a coffee mug and Abigail in the background. There are also images of Russell and Fox fishing, and relaxing together on a rock.
The cast includes notable talents like Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Alaina Pollack, and Amir Miller. Additionally, “Three Body Problem” actors Ben Schnetzer, Daniel Vasinova, and Kevin Zegers will make appearances.
Paramount+ describes “Madison” as Sheridan’s most intimate project yet, aiming to explore themes of grief and human connection.
The six-episode first season is set to debut on March 14, promising to delve into family bonds across the contrasting landscapes of Montana and the energetic backdrop of Manhattan.
“The Madison” isn’t the only spinoff coming for “Yellowstone” enthusiasts. “Marshals,” premiering on CBS on March 1, will follow Luke Grimes’ character Casey Dutton as he works alongside federal marshals in Montana.
Another spinoff, “The Dutton Ranch,” will see Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser back in their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, scheduled to air later this year.
Despite Sheridan’s unexpected exit, Paramount is reportedly working on two additional spinoffs: a prequel titled “1944” and “6666,” centered around Jefferson White’s character. However, White hinted recently that “6666” might not come to fruition.
