The U.S. Coast Guard arrested Chinese immigrants floating on paddleboards from the Bahamas, officials said.
Authorities said in a social media post Wednesday that the man was found in the Bahamas, about 25 miles from Freeport, and that the Bahamas were found in the Bahamas.
Photos and videos released by the US Coast Guard show men paddling what appears to be two boards to each other, tied up some of their luggage.
The unidentified Chinese citizens were transported to the Bahamas, the agency said.

The anxiety comes a week after 26 people from China landed in Coral Gables, Florida, when authorities said it was an immigration smuggling operation launched from the Bahamas.
“They believe they came by boat and went through a remote area on the southern tip of Coral Gables,” Coral Gables Police Chief Hudak Jr. said in a press release. “They are passing through the canal area leading to the private marina.”

Hudak Jr. said two smugglers and 26 Chinese immigrants (9 women and 17 men) were taken into custody.
The smugglers were on descents in Cuba and Puerto Rico and were carrying firearms, police said.
