More unique French nicknames are also gaining popularity. For boys, these are Beau, Remi, and Gustavo, and for girls, they are Elodie, Arlette, and Jolie.
Meanwhile, the Olympics weren't the only sporting event that brought about change. With the excitement of this year's NCAA Basketball Tournament, the WNBA's popularity has grown as well, and so have the names of the league's most popular players.
Kaitlyn, Camila, and Aja saw a huge rise in popularity after former Iowa State point guard and current Indiana Fever rookie Kaitlyn Clark. Former South Carolina Gamecocks Camila Cardoso currently plays for the Chicago Sky. and A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces.

The most popular name for girls born in 2024 is Olivia, followed by Amelia, Emma, Sophia and Charlotte.
A shocking departure from the top girls' names list is Sarah, which has been a mainstay in the top 100 for more than 60 years. The name dropped to 108th place.
Meanwhile, Noah continues to be the most popular nickname for baby boys in the United States.
