Erika Kirk Addresses the Public Following Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

In the aftermath of her husband Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Erika Kirk took to the public stage, vowing to uphold his legacy.

Erika delivered a heartfelt 16-minute speech on Friday evening, just two days after Chuck was shot at Utah Valley University. The address was streamed live from Charlie’s podcast studio on his YouTube channel.

She expressed gratitude to law enforcement for their efforts in capturing the alleged assailant, identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.

Erika also acknowledged the support from Turning Point USA (TPUSA), the youth activism organization co-founded by her husband.

She expressed her appreciation for the outreach from political figures, including the president and vice president, along with their families.

“I want to thank my husband’s dear friend, Vice President Vance, and his phenomenal wife, Usha, for their love and support,” Erika remarked. “You both honored my husband so well bringing him home.”

Vice President JD Vance and First Lady Usha Vance adjusted their 9/11 schedule to visit the Kirk family in Utah, even offering Air Force Two to transport Charlie’s body back to their home church in Arizona.

“I am also grateful to President Trump and his incredible family. Mr. President, my husband loved you deeply,” she added.

President Trump revealed Charlie’s death on Wednesday. Known for his enthusiastic support during the 2024 campaign, Charlie was instrumental in engaging young voters. Trump shared that his youngest son, Barron, admired Charlie and wanted to meet him.

As a tribute to Charlie, President Trump ordered flags to be flown at half-mast until Sunday.

“Charlie always said he wanted to be remembered for his courage and faith,” Erika noted. “Now and for all eternity, he will stand at his savior’s side wearing the glorious crown of a martyr.”

Erika reflected on Charlie’s profound love for their family, recounting how he would often ask, “How can I be a better husband?”

“He was the perfect husband,” she shared.

During her speech, she mentioned one of Charlie’s cherished Bible verses, Ephesians 5:25.

“Husbands, love your wives,” she recited, her voice wavering. “As Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.”

Erika also touched on an emotional moment when their three-year-old daughter, Charity, inquired about her father after his passing.

“What do you tell a three-year-old?” Erika sighed. “I told her, ‘Daddy loves you so much. He’s on a work trip with Jesus.’”

Charlie also leaves behind their one-year-old son.

Addressing the “evildoers” responsible for the tragedy, Erika stated they “have no idea what they have done.”

“They killed Charlie because he preached patriotism, faith, and God’s love,” she said. “But they should know this: if they thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, they have no idea what they’ve unleashed.”

She continued, “The cries of this widow will echo like a battle cry. To everyone listening across America, my husband’s movement will not die.”

Charlie was tragically shot during the first stop of TPUSA’s ‘The American Comeback Tour,’ which is set to continue through the end of September. Despite concerns about safety for such events, Erika confirmed they would go ahead as planned, including the 2025 America Fest conference scheduled in December in Phoenix, Arizona. This event will feature speakers like Tucker Carlson, Donald Trump Jr., and others.

“My husband’s mission will not end, not for a moment,” Erika vowed.
