A recent Summit.org/RMG Research survey found that nearly half of Gen Z voters sympathize with Hamas, and one-third do not believe Israel has the right to exist as a state.
investigation, released The first day of Passover highlighted the striking differences in sentiment between all voters and Gen Z voters, especially those born between 1997 and 2012.
The survey asked respondents: “Do you think Israel’s wealth and military power make the campaign against Hamas unfair?”
Most voters overall (58%) believe that Israel’s campaign is “just,” compared to 21% who think it is unjust. Only 42% of voters between 18 and 24 years old. A plurality of voters between the ages of 18 and 24 believe that Israel’s campaign against Hamas is unjust. Most voters overall, including Gen Z voters, agree that the U.S. government classifies Hamas as a terrorist organization, but Gen Z voters have declined by 20 percent, from 61 percent of all voters to 81 percent. It is a percentage.
Furthermore, one-third of Gen Z voters believe that Israel has no right to exist as a state. Overall only 10% of people feel the same, indicating the radicalization of America’s youth.
The overall survey was conducted March 20-21, 2024 among 1,003 registered voters. The error is ± 3.1%. It came as pro-terrorist and pro-Palestinian protests erupted and chaos descended on Columbia University. Columbia Orthodox Rabbi Elie Buechler went so far as to warn Jewish students to “return as soon as possible and stay home until the reality on and around campus improves dramatically.” The Ivy League university canceled all in-person classes on Monday.

Columbia University President Minoush Shafik said in a statement, “To defuse the hatred and give all of us a chance to consider next steps, I am announcing that all classes will be held virtually on Monday.”
It is still unclear when classes will resume.
