Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed strong support for President Donald Trump’s perspective on Iran. This statement came shortly after a deadly attack by the Houthis that targeted major airports in Israel.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Netanyahu noted that the attack was “emitted from Iran by Houthis” and warned that Israel would proactively strike at “Iranian Terror Masters” wherever it deems necessary.
His remarks clearly backed a statement made by Trump in March, which he called “absolutely” correct.
Netanyahu wrote, “President Trump is absolutely right! The attack by Houthis from Iran. Israel will respond to Houthi’s attacks on our major airports and will target Iran’s terrorist masters in our chosen locations.”
In another post, he cautioned that “every shot fired by the Houthis will be considered shots fired from Iranian weapons and leadership,” emphasizing that Tehran would be held accountable.
President Trump also labeled the Houthis as “sinister gangs and thugs,” dismissing Iran’s claims about having lost control over the group, insisting that Iran continues to supply direction, funding, and arms.
Trump stated, “Don’t let anyone fool you! Hundreds of attacks have been carried out by ominous gangs and thugs based in Yemen. Further attacks or retaliation by the Houthis will be met with significant force, and there’s no guarantee that this force will stop there.” He urged that Iran is not an innocent victim, maintaining firm control over the operations.
The renewed focus on Iran comes as attacks by Iran-backed militias escalate amidst the ongoing Israeli-Hamas conflict and increased regional instability.
The Sunday assault on Israel’s main airports resulted in several injuries and caused many international flights to be grounded, according to Israeli defense sources.
Netanyahu’s comments, echoed by Trump’s earlier statements, reflect a shared concern among officials that Iran’s lack of accountability poses a serious risk to broader stability in the region.
