Netanyahu Names Three World Leaders: ‘Thank You, Mass Murderers, Rapists, Baby Killers, and Kidnappers’

Netanyahu Criticizes Western Leaders Amid Gaza Conflict

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has criticized the liberal governments of France, Britain, and Canada for their perceived support of Hamas amid the ongoing Gaza War. On Friday, he specifically mentioned French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer as targets of his ire.

Netanyahu remarked that these leaders were emboldening Hamas by threatening to intervene if he doesn’t halt the military actions in Gaza. He asserted that such intervention would only serve to prolong the conflict. Recently, Israel has intensified its military campaign, having launched Operation Gideon and claiming to have killed a key Hamas leader.

In a pointed address, he told Macron, Carney, and Starmer that they are on “the wrong side of humanity and history,” referring to their support for what he characterized as terrorism.

This war escalated on October 7, 2023, when Hamas initiated a surprise attack on Israel, resulting in significant casualties and numerous hostages. As of mid-May, Hamas still held dozens of individuals captive, despite some being released earlier in the year during a temporary ceasefire.

Netanyahu finds himself under increasing pressure from these Western nations to bring the conflict to a resolution before achieving Israel’s objectives, along with expectations from former President Donald Trump for a swift end to the hostilities. Trump’s recent communication with Netanyahu has reportedly caused concern within the Israeli government.

Additionally, a shooting incident involving two Israeli embassy staff members in Washington, D.C., linked to a pro-Palestinian activist, has added to the tension. Trump’s comments on addressing anti-Semitism in the U.S. were made during a follow-up call with Netanyahu.

Neither Carney, Macron, nor Starmer’s offices have responded to requests for comment regarding this situation.
