Netanyahu warns Israel will ‘exact very high price’ if attacked after killing Hezbollah, Hamas commanders

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Thursday that anyone attacking the Jewish state will pay a “very high price” after Israel confirmed it had killed top Hezbollah and Hamas commanders in recent attacks.

Following the confirmation of the deaths of Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr and Hamas commander Mohammed Deif, Prime Minister Netanyahu held a detailed investigation together with generals and senior officers at the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) Home Front Command.

“Israel is extremely prepared for all scenarios, both defensive and offensive,” Netanyahu said. “Any act of aggression against us from any direction will come at a very high price.”

Shukr, also known as Haji Mohsin, was the mastermind behind the drone attack that killed 12 children and young people at the weekend on a soccer field in the Golan Heights. He was a senior adviser to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah when he was killed in an IDF strike south of Beirut on Tuesday.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, Deif, together with Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’ supreme leader in the Gaza Strip, initiated, planned and carried out the Hamas terrorist attack against Israel on October 7. Hamas terrorists killed 1,200 people in southern Israel and abducted 251 hostages in the Gaza Strip. Sinwar is believed to be hiding out in the Gaza Strip.
