A New York City man was seriously injured when his throat was slit after he spotted a man urinating on his car and asked him to stop, police said.
Just after 5 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a call about an incident in front of 404 East 14th Street.

Police said an unidentified person was urinating on the vehicle when a 66-year-old man asked them to stop. Police said the suspect brandished a box cutter and cut the man's neck, causing “severe lacerations and bleeding.”
The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai in critical condition.

The suspect remained at large as of Tuesday, and the investigation was ongoing.
