Former United Nations ambassador and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has remained silent about former President Donald Trump’s conviction as key Republican figures and some of Trump’s former rivals continue to speak out.
Haley’s social media accounts had not mentioned the guilty verdict as of early Friday afternoon, and neither she nor her representatives responded to repeated requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
Haley, who is currently visiting Israel, has posted multiple times to her X account since her conviction, describing the horror of the attack carried out by Hamas against Israel on October 7.
Trump and Haley’s strong working relationship was soured when she announced she would run in the 2024 Republican primary despite previously stating she would not, something the former president repeatedly disputed during his campaign.

After Trump won the Republican nomination race, which was marked by a trade of personal attacks between him and Haley, Haley initially declined to say whether she would support Trump.
Haley finally announced her support for Trump this month.
“I’m voting for Trump,” Haley said at an event at the Hudson Institute in Washington.

“That being said, I stand by what I said in my suspension speech,” Haley added. “Mr. Trump would be wise to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me, and not assume that they will just support him, which I sincerely hope they will.”
Trump’s conviction was quickly followed by a flurry of reactions from prominent Republicans, and many of his other primary opponents also offered mixed reactions to the conviction.

A jury on Thursday found Trump guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records related to the payment of hush money to adult film actress Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
The former president spoke to reporters in a hallway outside the courtroom shortly after the jury delivered its verdict.
“This is a disgrace. This is a rigged trial, a rigged trial, a disgrace. A change of venue was not granted,” Trump said. “This district, this area, has a 5-6% approval rating. This was a rigged trial, a disgrace.”
“The real verdict will be given by the American people on November 5th,” Trump said.
