Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) forcing high school students to attend virtual classes in response to border crossers and illegal aliens was “fake news.” I'm talking about the satirical website Babylon Bee.”
As Breitbart News reported, Adams announced late Tuesday that nearly 2,000 border crossers and illegal aliens would be moved to the gymnasium at James Madison High School in Brooklyn's Midwood neighborhood.
Students and staff were then told that classes would be held virtually on Wednesday to accommodate the migrants staying in the school's gymnasium.
In an interview with SiriusXM Patriots Breitbart News DailyBlackburn said when she first heard that Adams had removed students from school to help border crossers and illegal immigrants, she thought it was fake news.

“When I heard this story, I thought, “This belongs to the Babylon Bee.'' Yes, school systems and local governments are shutting down schools and high schools and sending kids home, which means sports activities and We will suspend all other activities, move to remote learning, and we will not turn the school over for use. As a shelter,” Blackburn said.
“We don't know how long people will be there. We don't know how long it will be used as a shelter,” Blackburn said. “We don’t know how long it will take to reopen schools to bring them back from shelters to classrooms.”
“We thought, 'That can't happen,' but we're learning that it does,” she continued.
