Out-of-control teens aim for famous Southern California amusement park as police issue alert

Just days after Fourth of July disturbances in Newport Beach, there’s concern that Knott’s Berry Farm, a popular amusement park in Southern California, could be the next target for rowdy teenagers this Saturday.

Authorities in Buena Park are working to track down those behind a planned and unauthorized gathering in the park.

“We know that an unsanctioned event is being arranged at Knott’s Berry Farm,” said local officials. “We’re collaborating with park management and public safety partners to pinpoint those organizing this event.”

They emphasized, “The safety of our communities, park-goers, and employees is our main focus. We will boost our law enforcement presence and take necessary action against anyone engaging in criminal or disruptive activities.”

While specifics about the upcoming event remain vague, experts suggest it may resemble the recent chaos seen in Newport Beach.

During that incident, over 400 individuals were arrested, primarily young people and minors. Disturbing videos surfaced showing aerial fireworks being set off dangerously close to crowds and individuals throwing fireworks into packed areas.

In another surprising clip, a person donned in a Spider-Man mask was seen climbing a traffic light before rallying a chanting crowd. Other footage captured individuals vandalizing street signs and looting the nearby Pavilions grocery store.

Authorities are also gearing up to manage a potential “beach takeover” in Huntington Beach that same day, where promotional flyers dubbed it a “beach bash.”

“To the ‘Beach Bash’ organizers… We’ve seen your flyer, too,” Huntington Beach police mentioned, warning organizers of search and potential charges.

The police clarified, “The HBPD Special Investigations Unit has identified individuals believed to be involved in the planning of this disruptive event, and the investigation is ongoing.”

Anyone found orchestrating, encouraging, or partaking in criminal activities related to the beach takeover could face arrest. Charges may include inciting a riot, vandalism, theft, assault, reckless driving, unlawful assembly, conspiracy, and other crimes, according to police.

This popular park has had its share of trouble due to teenage vandalism in past incidents. Consequently, in 2023, it implemented a policy requiring minors aged 15 and under to be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older after 4 p.m. Any minor unaccompanied during that time will be removed from the park.
