Parents outraged over high school lesson making students come out as gay or lesbian

Parents of students at a California high school were furious after their children said they were made to stand in a circle in class and pretend to have come out as gay or lesbian.

The controversial lesson was posted on social media and went viral as another example of far-left extremism being promoted in public schools without parents' knowledge or consent.

“There's nothing to do but take care of the kids.”

  • You are now gay or lesbian and are beginning the process of coming out.
  • You are not allowed to speak during the rest of this activity.

KNSD-TV reported The class was an elective seminar class for new students, and the teacher in charge was a mathematics teacher.

Parents confronted school board members about the class at Tuesday's meeting. One parent, named James Leon, said his daughter was in class and said she walked out of class with six other students.

“As soon as she got home, she said to me, 'Dad, listen to this,'” Leon said. “She wanted to show me what was going on, because she knows I'm not cut out to teach that kind of thing in school.”

He said his daughter was extremely uncomfortable with the lesson.

District bus drivers also spoke at the meeting, saying they were “completely disgusted” by the incident.

The driver said, “I'm embarrassed because I work for the school district. You're allowing this to happen at your school.”

“I don't understand how this is part of California's educational curriculum. There's nothing to do but groom these kids,” Leon told trustees.

Blaze News reached out to several Vista board members for comment, but none responded. KNSD reported that requests for comment were not returned and that the superintendent dodged reporters' questions before the board meeting.
