Jamal Bryant, senior pastor of New Missionary Baptist Church, compared Vice President Kamala Harris to Queen Esther after Harris took office. spoke at church on sunday.
Esther, a Jewish woman who became queen of Persia, bravely rescued her Jewish kin from the destruction of the Persian Empire. This story is retold in a Bible book that bears her Persian name, Esther.
“If God anointed us to overturn a nation once, we can do it again. Because if God is for us, who can be against us? ”This is an idea that cannot be stopped. ”
According to Bryant, Harris is exactly like a Jewish heroine.
In his speech, Bryant preached from Esther 4:14. say:
For if you remain silent at this time, the salvation and deliverance of the Jews will come from elsewhere, but you and your father's family will be destroyed. And who knows, other than that you came to royal status at a time like this?
But in his retelling of Esther's story, Bryant not only equates Harris with Esther, but also associates President Joe Biden with Mordecai, Esther's legal guardian who refused to bow to the Persian official Haman. They seemed to be the same. Haman's conspiracy to exterminate the Jews. Oh, and what about that genocide plan? Bryant equated it with left-wing opposition to progressive policies.
In other words, whatever Bryant considers to be the opposite of leftist policy, he equates it with Haman's genocidal program.
“There are scenes in the ancient Bible where they plotted to destroy all minorities, because they are indestructible,” Bryant said. “They came up with a strategy on how they could destroy minorities and created an agenda called 0025. And in Project 0025 they wanted to fire all the people who didn't agree with this. Here's what was discovered in scripture. They wanted to end the independence of the Ministry of Justice and dissolve the Ministry of Education.
“In this diabolical plot to destroy the community, they tried to take away from women the right to make decisions about their own bodies,” he continued. “They wanted to change the tax code so that businesses could do better than families. They wanted to abolish Medicare and Medicaid, get rid of Social Security, and stop canceling student loans.”
“Mordecai understood what women had to do to change the country,” Bryant said of “Mordecai.”
After criticizing men who don't support women in leadership, Bryant turned his attention to Harris, suggesting that she, like Esther, was anointed by God to carry out a divine mission.
“Can I give you a lecture, Vice President? Who knew 60 years ago today that you were born to be president? You were born to lead a nation. You are the leader of a democracy. “You were born to change the trajectory. Who knows? But you were born for a time like this,” he declared.
Later in his speech, Bryant vaguely accused election officials of disenfranchising voters, implying that Democratic victories in the Peach State were an order of God.
“If God anointed us to overturn a nation once, we can do it again. If God is for us, who can be against us? This is “It's an unstoppable thought,” he said.
During his speech, Bryant did not return to the Bible. However, he did quote John Maxwell, Victor Hugo, and William Shakespeare.
At the end of his speech, Bryant urged his followers to raise their hands to God in prayer for Harris, asking that God would assign 100,000 angels to protect her. He then instructed the congregation to go vote immediately after leaving the church.
