Patricia Heaton Critiques Dr. Fauci’s Pandemic Fame

Actress Patricia Heaton has expressed her opinion that Dr. Anthony Fauci, former chief medical adviser, seemed to enjoy the attention that came with his role during the lockdowns caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

In a post on X, Heaton stated, “So we were all shut down and Mr. Fauci was reveling in his fame…” It seems this sentiment resonated with her, as she referenced a post from Tom Elliott, the founder of Glavian, which spotlighted Fauci’s diary and how often he mentioned various topics.

The analysis revealed some notable omissions in Fauci’s entries:

• Never: “Peer review,” “Meta-analysis,” “Risk and Benefit,” “Loss of learning,” “Mental health.”
• One time: “N95,” “Seroprevalence,” “Cost-effectiveness.”
• Twice: “Cloth mask,” “Schools are closed,” “Natural immunity.”

In contrast, some frequently mentioned terms included:

• “Award” — 80 times
• “Hero” — 49 times
• “Instagram” — 36 times
• “Bobblehead” — 23 times
• “Selfie” — 19 times
• Entries labeled “PRESS” — 641 times

Fauci’s diary provides a glimpse into his interactions with prominent figures, including politicians and celebrities. For instance, he noted a conversation with President Trump, where he was described as the “smartest person” and received compliments on his expertise.

In an entry dated January 29, 2020, Fauci recalled receiving a call from Lou Dobbs informing him that Trump wanted to speak with him. “Today is a great day!” he wrote, mentioning how Trump acknowledged him for his contributions to public health.

By February 6, 2020, Fauci remarked that Trump had told Melania he was “the smartest person in the world.” He humorously noted in his diary the public interest he generated, including a petition proposing he be named “Sexiest Man Alive” and even a restaurant dish inspired by him.

However, not all entries were celebratory. On April 15, 2020, Fauci expressed frustration over a situation with a writer from The Atlantic, noting how he felt “humiliated” after retracting comments made during a CNN interview.

As tensions rose within the Trump administration, a diary entry from July 13, 2020, documented a disagreement with then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows regarding Fauci’s public statements on the pandemic.

Furthermore, entries highlighted interactions with media personalities and lawmakers, including a notable exchange with Rep. Jim Jordan, which led to supportive texts from CNN’s Dana Bash.

The release of Fauci’s diary comes at a time when he is expected to testify before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee after being subpoenaed by Rep. Rand Paul.
