A good Samaritan drove many miles on New Year's Eve to deliver his lost wallet to a stranger.

According to FOX 29 Philadelphia, Doylestown resident Richard Murray-Day works as a conductor for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA). On December 31st, Murray Day noticed that he had lost his wallet when he was wearing a watch.

When the conductor opened it, he realized it belonged to Greg Basil, a Radnor Township resident.

Murray Day told FOX 29, “I immediately decided to call my wife and drive the wallet back to him, but I would try to do it anonymously so I wouldn't be invading his privacy.” No,” he said.

“What he had there, he wasn't asking for anything in return because I knew he really needed it,” he added. “This is who I am and what I do.”
