In California, a man and a teenage boy have been arrested in relation to the tragic shooting death of 14-year-old Jeremy “Tank” Rosales, a rising high school football talent.
Authorities identified the suspects as 27-year-old Abel Ramirez and a 16-year-old boy, both charged with murder following the incident near Jeremy’s home in Victorville on January 16, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
They were taken into custody on Monday. The teen is currently detained at the High Desert Juvenile Detention Center, while Ramirez is being held at the High Desert Detention Center with bail set at $1 million.
Jeremy was shot at the intersection of Glen Canyon Lane and Burwood Avenue. Unfortunately, details surrounding the events leading to the shooting remain scarce.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 8:21 p.m. and found Jeremy severely injured. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
