Poll: Trump Leads Biden In Five Swing States As Debates Draw Near

The latest polls show former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden in five of the seven battleground states that will determine the outcome of the 2024 election.


of Bloomberg News/Morning Consult The study, released Wednesday, found that 45th The president defeated Biden by 7 percentage points in North Carolina (49% to 42%) and 5 percentage points in Arizona (49% to 44%).

Additionally, the former president also has leads in Georgia (47% to 44%), Pennsylvania (48% to 46%) and Wisconsin (47% to 46%), although the spreads in all three states are within the poll’s margin of error.

Meanwhile, in Nevada, the two candidates are tied with 47% each, while in Michigan, Mr. Biden leads Mr. Trump by just 1 point (46% to 45%).

The same poll, conducted in April, showed Trump leading Biden by 10 points in the Tar Heel State, eight points in Nevada, seven points in Arizona, six points in Georgia and four points in Wisconsin.

Respondents said the economy was the biggest issue (35%), followed by immigration (14%) and democracy (10%).

Almost half of participants also said they were concerned that violence would erupt around the presidential election.

Additionally, nearly 51% of survey respondents said the economy has done better under the Trump administration, while nearly 36% of voters said the economy has “done better” under a Biden administration and nearly 13% said it would be “about the same” under Biden, according to a poll of both administrations.

The poll will be conducted online from May a survey of 4,962 registered voters in seven battleground states.

Voters will see Biden and Trump go head-to-head in upcoming debates, the first of which will air live on June upon CNNthe second part will be broadcast on September upon ABC.
