Trump’s Upcoming State Visit to the UK

President Trump is set to arrive in the UK next week for his second state visit, and it promises to be quite the event, complete with a lavish banquet and organized transportation.

As Buckingham Palace undergoes renovations expected to last until 2027, Trump will be welcomed at Windsor Castle instead.

The president, along with First Lady Melania Trump, will be received by the American ambassador and escorted to Windsor Castle. There, they’ll meet Prince William and Princess Catherine before being introduced to King Charles and Queen Camilla.

A royal salute and a sumptuous carriage procession are planned, marking a notable difference from Trump’s first visit in June 2019.

Princess Welsh, aged 43, is anticipated to play a more significant role this time, possibly working alongside the First Lady.

According to Buckingham Palace, Trump and Melania will arrive at Windsor Castle on Wednesday morning, September 17.

They will be greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales, who will accompany them as they meet King Charles and Queen Camilla, all amid a formal royal welcome.

Cannon salutes are scheduled at Windsor Castle and the Tower of London to honor the visiting President and First Lady.

After the ceremonial greetings, Trump is set to enjoy lunch with King Charles and Queen Camilla in the state dining area.

During his visit, Trump also intends to pay his respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

In the afternoon, he and Melania will visit St. George’s Chapel to lay wreaths at the Queen’s grave, according to a palace announcement.

Following this, a grand banquet will take place that evening, featuring over 150 distinguished guests from both the UK and the US, including royals and notable politicians.

Interestingly, Trump has also extended an invitation to former British ambassador to the US, Karen Pierce, for dinner.

On Thursday, he plans to meet with British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer, although it’s worth noting that Parliament will be on break during Trump’s visit.
