A group of pro-Palestinian protesters defaced the Los Angeles National Cemetery on Sunday, spray-painting words such as “Free Gaza” and “Intifada” on the monument's entrance.

The cemetery is located in a hot spot of protests that have erupted in recent months in response to Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.

Demonstrators could be heard shouting, “Long live Palestine” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
Democratic Rep. Brad Sherman mocked the protesters, suggesting this was “further proof that people who hate Israel also hate America.”
“Here in my district, at Los Angeles National Cemetery, the graves of those who risked their lives to end slavery and protect the world from fascism are being desecrated,” Sherman tweeted.
“The Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery is the resting place of our nation's heroes, and any act of vandalism will not be tolerated,” Department of Veterans Affairs spokesman Terrence Hayes said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “We are taking immediate steps to restore the walls of Los Angeles National Cemetery to their original condition.”
