Gia Giudice and Teresa Giudice on Family and the Special Forces Show
Gia Giudice is prepared to dedicate a good chunk of her time to bring her dad back home. Recently, both she and her mother, Teresa Giudice, shared insights during an interview about their appearance in the fourth season of Fox’s popular series, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
After President Trump’s decision to pardon Todd and Julie Chrisley, Gia expressed that her family felt “inspired” and found renewed hope. She mentioned, “The Chrisley family has been blessed to reunite. Everything feels different now, but it gave us hope. We’ve had our challenges.”
Gia noted that their hope seemed to bloom after witnessing the Chrisleys’ family reunification. She decided to reach out to her dad and, perhaps, stemming from this, she even made a video to encourage him to use social media more. Joe Giudice, Gia’s father, faced deportation after completing a 41-month prison term for fraud. Released in March 2019, he was held by ICE while his deportation was processed. Although he had moved to the U.S. as a baby, he never secured naturalization.
Both Joe and Teresa were convicted of bankruptcy fraud and various tax offenses, with Joe serving longer in prison compared to Teresa’s 15-month stint. Reflecting on the situation, Teresa said she believes Joe belongs in America, stating, “He has always been here; he just got caught up in paperwork issues. I really wish he could come back.”
While Gia hasn’t received a direct response from the president, she shared that Teresa feels proud of their efforts. The mother-daughter dynamic is prominently showcased in the new season of Special Forces. Gia described the challenge of filming as “the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” but emphasized the strength of their bond as they navigated through it together.
Filming wasn’t easy. Gia recounted how they reused the same water for washing, showering, and cleaning clothes, but noted they managed to support each other throughout the experience. “I thought I was prepared, you know, being into fitness and lifting weights. But nothing really compared to what we went through there,” Teresa explained. Despite the hardships, both felt the experience ultimately brought them closer together.
Gia specifically recalled a particularly rigorous hike, carrying a 30-pound Bergen, where she thought, at one point, about quitting. “Getting to the top was surreal but exhausting,” she admitted. Teresa, now more confident in her swimming skills, also shared how the experiences pushed her limits.
As the show is set to premiere on September 25th at 9 PM ET/PT on Fox, both Teresa and Gia have emerged with new skills and a deeper understanding of themselves, feeling grateful for their time together.
