The two people shot and killed in the Abundant Life Christian School shooting in Wisconsin were 42-year-old substitute teacher Erin West and 14-year-old freshman Rubi Vergara.

The assailant, now deceased Natalie “Samantha” Lupenau, a 15-year-old student at the school, shot and killed two women inside the private Christian school in Madison on Monday morning before turning the gun on herself.
According to milwaukee journal sentinelVergara “shared a special bond with his beloved pets,” including dogs and cats, and loved singing and playing piano in his family's worship band, according to his obituary. That's what it means. Vergara was also an avid reader and expressed a love of art.
The teen's obituary said she would be “sorely missed” by her parents, siblings and all the many family members she left behind.
Parents who spoke to the media said West was filling in for a teacher who was on leave.
“The teacher died protecting his class,” said Lindsay O'Connor, whose daughter and son attend the school. “Many more lives could have been taken. [Rupnow] He was sent off for several rounds. ”
West's obituary is also posted.
“Erin [West] She enjoyed family camping trips, attending school sporting events, serving at Doxa Church, and spending time with her daughter and family. Erin is survived by her husband, Jack; three daughters, Emery, Laurel and Adrie; parents, Teresa and Larry; sister Jennifer (Glenn) Bruce; my friend Hannah Hipp; and Rev. Rob Warren,” her obituary reads.
Rapnow, 15, opened fire in his study hall, injuring five other students (two of whom were hospitalized with serious injuries) and a substitute teacher, West, before taking his own life.
According to court documents: washington post According to reports obtained by the outlet, Rapnow was undergoing therapy due to family issues before killing the two victims and herself.
The magazine went on to report that she is one of only nine women to commit a school shooting since 1999, and authorities are still investigating her motive.
“We may never know what she was thinking that day, but we will do our best to add and provide as much information as possible to the public,” said Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes. ” he said.
The funeral home in charge of Vergara's arrangements announced that a celebration of Rubi's life will be held Saturday at a church in Madison. It will be live streamed for your friends and family to watch.
About the celebration of life of heroic substitute teacher Mr. West on December 23rd.tha funeral service will be held at noon at Doxa Church, 2700 Novation Parkway, Madison. Her obituary states that the church will be open for visitation from 10 a.m. Monday until the end of the service.
