Report: Iran Could Attack Israel With 100 Drones, Missiles As Soon As Friday

The report suggests Israel is on high alert for a direct attack from Iran, with insiders saying an attack could come as early as Friday.

The reported attack is expected to target Israeli Defense Force positions and could include more than 100 drones and dozens of missiles, two U.S. officials said. Told. CBS News.

Insiders said it would be difficult for Israel to defend itself against such a large-scale attack, but they also suggested Iran could launch smaller attacks to prevent further escalation of tensions between the two countries.

An adviser to Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei said: “The attack plan is being carried out right under the noses of the supreme leader, who is still weighing the political risks.”

Reports of the suspected Iranian attack were published after the April 1 attack on Israel.cent Seven Iranian military officers have been killed, US experts have warned.

However, reports have led experts to believe that the Israel-Hamas war could escalate into a larger regional war, and Iran has not publicly said how it plans to proceed with the attack. Not yet.

Additionally, the U.S. State Department on Thursday warned Americans living in Israel not to travel outside major cities that are fortified by the Iron Dome missile defense system.

“Whoever hurts us, we will hurt them too,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in response to reports of recent attacks.

“We are ready defensively and offensively,” the 74-year-old said.

Meanwhile, security expert and former Mossad official Sima Shine warned that a possible attack by Iran could further escalate the war.

“They would try to do that against the military or some military assets,” Shine said of potential Iranian targets in Israeli territory.

“But the problem will be the damage. If there are a lot of injuries and casualties…I think it could escalate into a large-scale situation,” she warned.

Shine also said he doesn’t think either side wants a large-scale regional war.

U.S. officials said they were “really trying to avoid war,” said Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. CBS Friday morning.

“This is part of our dialogue with countries in the region, including the Israeli defense chief who spoke yesterday,” he said of U.S. efforts to contain the situation.
