Republicans Secure Victory in 2025 Congressional Baseball Game
In a solid display of teamwork, Republican lawmakers triumphed over their Democratic rivals in the 2025 Congressional baseball game, marking their fifth consecutive win.
This past Wednesday, Republicans defeated the Democrats with a score of 13-2, keeping their winning streak alive. Notably, Representative Greg Steube from Florida, who faced serious injuries from a ladder accident two years ago, pitched five innings and managed to strike out seven Democrats.
“I am going to take an ice bath tomorrow,” Steube humorously remarked following the game.
Representative August Pfluger from Texas was named the game’s MVP, and his impressive plays gained considerable attention on social media.
“Proud to have been selected MVP for this year’s Congressional Baseball Game! Couldn’t have asked for a better support team here in DC! Another huge win for Republicans,” Pfluger shared on X.
The turnout was quite impressive, with over 30,000 tickets sold, raising approximately $2.8 million for various charities.
“Team GOP takes the WIN!! 🏆 Proud to take the field with my Republican colleagues tonight and bring home the win. We raised $2.8 million for local charities. We’re not tired of winning!” House Majority Leader Steve Scalise expressed on X.
