A member of The Weeknd’s security team was shot during an apparent home invasion and taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say an unidentified security guard confronted three men wearing hoodies who broke into a $12 million property in the Amestoy Estates neighborhood of Encino, Los Angeles. According to TMZ, the security guard was confronted by the robbery suspects when he heard gunshots and realized he had been shot. The security guard worked for The Weeknd’s manager, Cash XO. The Weeknd and Cash XO were not injured. fox 11 los angeles Four people were reportedly inside the home at the time of the incident.
According to TMZ, paramedics were called to the scene and rushed the agent to a nearby hospital, where he remained in critical condition at last report. Initial reports say he was shot multiple times.
According to FOX 11, the security guard was shot and required surgery, but no information was provided on where he was shot.

The shooting occurred at 2:25 a.m. Monday at the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom property. According to TMZ, the residence reportedly had a “state-of-the-art” security system installed.

Police said all three suspects fled before they arrived at the scene. It was not immediately clear whether any of the suspects were injured during the altercation. No suspicious information has been released at this time. There were no reports of a shooting, and the moments leading up to it were captured on surveillance video from the home and area.
