Sen. John Fetterman proclaims unflinching support for Israel: ‘Will not waver’

Pro-Israel Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) declared unwavering support for the U.S. ally after Israeli forces killed Hamas leader Yahya Shinwar.

“I salute Israel and congratulate Yahya Sinwar on its removal. This is a necessary move for a future of lasting peace. Eliminating the masterminds of the October 7 massacre is a sign of justice being served. My vote and my voice for Israel is unwavering,” Fetterman declared in a social media post Thursday.

Fetterman, who has always been a vocal supporter of Israel, likened Hamas to the Nazis of World War II.

“Hamas is no different than the Nazis of World War II. I fully support Israel's efforts to neutralize Hamas,” the Pennsylvania senator tweeted last month.

“Let's stop pretending like Hamas cares about true peace,” Fetterman wrote in a June post. I strongly reject the comments.”

“I reject any pressure to neutralize Hamas or force Israel into a cease-fire without full surrender. They will be held accountable and I fully support that,” he declared in an August post. .
