Clark County, Nevada – Immigration is one of the top priorities for voters heading into November's election, and when asked about Vice President Kamala Harris' record on the border so far, Nevada residents expressed their desire to accomplish something. I had a hard time.
“She hasn't done anything. And now she wants to steal Trump's ideas and build a wall,” Melissa said of the Senate, which would include $650 million for new border wall construction. Harris said, noting her recent support for the failed bill.
While President Trump was in office, Harris called the wall “un-American.”
“Suddenly, that’s a great idea,” Melissa said.

But Carlos said it was difficult to determine whether Harris “did a good job” because she serves as President Joe Biden's second-in-command.
“Everything seemed to revolve around the president himself,” he told FOX News Digital. “I don't think she was given the opportunity to show what she did or didn't do.”
The Biden-Harris administration oversaw unprecedented levels of illegal immigration. During President Trump's term, the number of annual immigrant encounters ranged from a low of about 303,916 to a high of about 851,508, but jumped to 1,734,686 in 2018. Biden's first year in office.
In the run-up to the election, the economy dwarfs voters' other concerns, with 40% of respondents in an October Fox News poll listing it as the most important factor in choosing a president. But immigration came in second, with 17% citing it as their biggest problem.

Nick said border security has “only gotten worse” during Harris' nearly four years as vice president.
More than 425,000 illegal immigrants with criminal convictions are currently out of the country. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention, according to data provided to members of Congress. According to ICE, this includes more than 13,000 people convicted of murder and nearly 16,000 people convicted of sexual assault.
“It's very sad and in some ways scary not knowing who's in your neighborhood,” Nick said. “They could be anywhere. I mean they could be anywhere in the United States.”

For the first time, Melissa said she no longer felt safe in Nevada.
“I felt safe because President Trump was in office for four years,” she said.
